The difference between a risk factor and a warning sign is that a risk factor means it could happen but it may not. A warning sign is that it is going to happen it is just a matter of when and where. A risk factor is an increased risk of emotional and physical problems.
The warning signs for suicide is clinical depression, have thoughts for suicide, sleep pattern changes, fear of loosing control, eating habits change, talk about dying, change in behavior, and no hope for the future. If you have these warning signs you should go see a psychiatric doctor or call the suicide hot line (1-800-SUICIDE).
People who are depressed are at risk for suicide and people who are sick of their lives. Those who have no life, no family, and that are Unwillingness or inability to communicate, Talk of wanting to die.
